Here we are on the tour in New Zealand, which has been a highlight of our world travels.  Not only did we get to see most of the country at a reasonable pace, we got to party with the Australians who made up half our little group of 20 or so travelers.  The early spring booking gave us the advantage of a small group and all the diverse weather New Zealand has to offer, from the North Island beach walks to the train ride in the snow in the Southern Alps. It was FANTASTIC!      Kathryn and Gil Lazier

Our spring cruise from Bangkok to Dubai was filled with awe-inspiring sights, adventure and greater understanding of the many cultures in the countries we visited.  Ports included Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates.  From tri-shaws to elephant rides - we did it all!

It is very hard to get our family together since  we are spread in 4 different states.  But by putting together a trip from Austin-Lehman, all interests were covered --  hiking, white-water rafting, horseback riding, and outstanding accommodations among the most scenic areas in the USA.  Jack and I as grandparents wanted to impress on the grandchildren the beauty of America, the privilege of being a US citizen, and the need to preserve our heritage.  This was accomplished through our Austin-Lehman trip! The guides were outstanding and our family members (19 in all with children age 3 through 18, plus 5 parents and 2 grandparents) are still  talking about it.  Even Greta, 3 1/2 years old, was able to make all the 15 miles of hiking, thanks to riding on the shoulders of guides, siblings, and parents when she was tired.  We are especially thankful to Vicki Krone from Main Street Travel for introducing us to Austin-Lehman, who also provided very nutritional snacks and meals (via our three excellent and energetic guides).  The only question the children have now is "When is the next trip?"  Vicki -  you're the greatest!

Two weeks time to plan a 2-month trip.....seems impossible.  Then I met Vicki Krone, a force to be reckoned with.  My first conversion with Vicki I could tell she had a innate quality of knowing just the trip I wanted to experience. How does one describe falling in love, especially when you least expect to?  And indeed, how does one say “thank you” to someone who was able to translate our desires into two weeks of spectacular, unforgettable events?  Little did I know that Vietnam would wrap her arms around me and hold me in a dreamlike state that lasts to this day, constantly pulling me back to her magic.  Our recent trip to Vietnam was a wonderful, life-changing event – thanks in large part to the upfront work Vicki Krone did for us in arranging the perfect itinerary, even though we really didn’t realize that until we were well on our way.  Originally, we had thought Vietnam would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip.  Now we know, we’ll be back – sooner, rather than later – and this time, hopefully Vicki will be with us!    -Eileen and Jim Duty

This past summer my family took an Alaska Cruise to celebrate our 24th anniversary. Our honeymoon in Costa Rica was Amazing!  Karen at Main Street Travel was great to work with.  She was helpful in making me understand what we were looking at online, because I wanted to do a lot of the planning online on my own.  She talked us through what we wanted and did not want in a hotel and travel arrangements.  I realized that I was a little out of my league with this trip.  Everything that was arranged through Karen was seamless, including all of the travel details down to the drivers for our daily excursions.  Our transfers between hotels and to the airport were long trips, but thanks to Main Street Travel, we were prepared for them.  This was a great experience.  I could not have asked for a better Honeymoon.  Every day seemed to get better and better!  I truly believe it is because we started with the proper planning and being as organized as we were, we did not have to worry about traveling and just enjoyed the travel experience.     -Matt and Amy Huber

We were fortunate enough to be invited by our dear friends, the Rowands to accompany them to Scotland and Ireland. The Rowands used Vicki Krone of Main Street Travel to plan the trip. Every detail was thought out and organized, and the vacation went off without a hitch. We had a driver (who happened to be a Duke!) pick us up at the airport in Scotland when we arrived and he was at our disposal throughout the trip.  The men played golf at some of the most famous courses in the world, while the girls got to shop and sightsee our way through the most amazing castles and museums. The accommodations were impeccable, from their locations to their rich heritage.  It was a trip we will never forget. Thank you to the Rowands and to Main Street Travel for making it one of the most special vacations we have ever taken.

We were so pleased with the services Main Street Travel provided on the Scotland/Ireland trip that when we decided to take our two children (Tyler-13 and Olivia-9) to Italy this summer, we immediately called Vicki. I had done some initial research and decided on Venice, Rome and a few beach areas that looked interesting. Vicki took it from there. She not only planned our route, booked our flights, chose our hotels, but she also figured out how we would get from one place to another and so much more. She thought of absolutely everything. We wanted a hassle-free vacation and that is exactly what we got. It was such a special time with our children. We experienced this wonderful country together and watching their faces as they took it all in was priceless.
